Mt Baw Baw boasts over 35 hectares of downhill terrain for all skill levels.  With its gentle slopes, Mt Baw Baw claims the mantle as Australia’s best place to learn to ski and snowboard, or reintroduce snow sports to adults after some time away. Mt Baw Baw’s smaller scale gives it a big draw card, accommodation is no more than 100 metres away from the slopes.

Solo travellers, families, couples, friends and groups can select from a range of on-mountain accommodation options including self-contained apartments, premium cabins, traditional lodges, and ‘flashpacker’ style accommodation.

Seasoned skiers can enjoy the advanced terrain and slalom racecourse, while avid snowboarders can carve through Mount Baw Baw’s Terrain Park perfectly suited to beginners to intermediate boarders. For an alternative to downhill, the mountain also offers over 10 kilometres of cross-country ski trails, weaving through snowgums in one of Victoria’s best pristine natural environments.

Mount Baw Baw’s alpine village charm, community atmosphere and snow activities for non-skiers make it Victoria’s best family friendly mountain.  Kids and parents can enjoy a range of activities across three snow play areas including tobogganing, husky dogsledding and show shoeing.

The snow season begins on the Queen's Birthday  weekend, in june,  with the end of the officially declared snow season historically being in September.

*UPDATE* The 2017 Snow Season has been declared early for Mt Baw Baw due to early snow falls and low temperatures.
