The weather on Mt Baw Baw can change rapidly and snow, ice or mist can occur any time of year.
Always check the weather before you leave and while you are here to ensure you are best prepared. There is the chance of trees falling over the roads in windy conditions so always keep an eye out whilst driving, especially around corners. You will also see animals beside or on the road, particularly at night. Drive slowly and take regular breaks if you are feeling tired. Avoid driving up in bad weather, ensure you have warm, waterproof clothing and footwear and a tube of sunscreen. Snow gear is available for hire on the mountain through our Retail and Rental Store.
To report a tree over the road call VicRoads for trees on South Face or the Tourist Road and call Guest Services for trees over the road up to the resort.
