Come ski Baw Baw’s cross country trails and experience the majestic snow gums and alpine meadows.
On top the 30 hectares of downhill terrain Mt Baw Baw has around 10 kilometres of cross-country trails within the resort boundaries with access to even more trails in the Baw Baw National Park!
- Access to the trails is free once resort entry has been purchased.
- “One Ride Lift Passes” to the top of Summit can also be purchased on the mountain if you want to avoid the climb to the plateau.

What cross country trails are in the Baw Baw National Park?
Mount St Gwinear, located in the, offers 12km of cross country trails. There is a loop that visitors can undertake accessing 5 trails. These trails are called Cascades Trail, Saints Trail, Tullicoutty Trail and Gwinear Trail. There is an access point on the Saints Trail at Phillack Saddle to link onto a cross country ski trail (Tanjil) connecting to Mt Baw Baw Alpine Resort.
Can I snow camp at Mt Baw Baw?
Camping within Resort boundaries is not permitted for members of the public. Dispersed camping is permitted in the National Park except in the Reference Area Zone and within 20 metres of streams and alpine bogs.
Can I walk on the trails?
Walking on the cross-country trails is strictly prohibited without snowshoes. Snowshoes can be hired at multiple stores in the Baw Baw Village.
