With 35 hectares of groomed runs, seven ski lifts, two snow play areas, 10kms of groomed x-country ski trails & unlimited terrain amongst the snowgums to explore, you will be hard pressed to find a better outdoor venue so close to Melbourne!
Mt Baw Baw is considered a ‘progressive’ mountain – the perfect place for beginners to learn to ski or snowboard in a safe and comfortable environment. We have 35 hectares of mainly beginner – intermediate ski runs, all of which are accessible by T-bar and poma lifts (no dis-mounting off chairlifts…perfect for the beginner!) These seven lifts service a variety of runs, with the Summit lift line reaching the top of Mount Baw Baw. Mt Baw Baw Snow Sports School offer beginner, intermediate and advanced ski lessons for adults and children. Book a private or group lesson today!
Cross Country Skiing
In addition to the downhill runs there are a number of cross country trails offering access to other parts of the Baw Baw plateau. Cross country skiing is a great way to explore Mt Baw Baw, with over 10km’s of ski trails winding around the Resort there is a trail to suit all abilities from beginner to advanced. Over summer we have been busy widening our trails to allow for better grooming and access, not to mention an enhanced skiing experience. Access to the Cross Country Ski trails during Winter 2013 is FREE! Cross Country skiing is a great way to get fit and to explore the outer edges of the Resort!

The mountain’s sheltered ski runs, enthusiastic instructors and numerous snow sports programs make our mountain the perfect place to learn to snowboard or to improve your snowboarding skills. Snowboards, boots and bindings are available for hire on-mountain and at various outlets on your way to Mt Baw Baw. Group & Private Snowboard Lessons are available through our Snow Sports School. Hit up the terrain parks
Mt Baw Baw’s two terrain parks are a playground for freestyle skiers and boarders and an un-intimidating place to practice your skills. Click here for more information. Why not book yourself in to a Freestyle Program at Mt Baw Baw to introduce you to the parks or improve your technique. The Freestyle Camp is all about progressing to the next level of snowboarding/ skiing park expertise with a three-day intensive technique-training program! Only for advanced riders.
Mt Baw Baw Resort village is at the bottom of the lifts, offering ski in – ski out access and a variety of food and beverage options.
