GAFIA Lodge is proudly owned and operated by a not-for-profit cooperative. Run by a passionate community of members, our lodge offers a warm and welcoming alpine experience – perfect for families, groups and anyone wanting to ‘Get Away From It All’ at an affordable price.

A Shared Lodge Experience

GAFIA is all about community spirit. To help us keep costs low and the lodge running smoothly:

• Bring your own linen – sleeping bags/doonas, sheets, pillowcases and towels (We provide pillows and 1-2 blankets for every bed.)
• Pitch in before you leave – we don’t employ cleaners; guests are asked to help clean the lodge using a simple checklist.

Winter Access & Transport Information

All accommodation during the winter‑season is not accessible by vehicle. Guests must drop their luggage at Carpark 1, then park in Carpark 2 or 3 before walking to their accommodation.

Oversnow transport is available for luggage only at an additional cost of $40per trip. This service must be booked in person at the Guest Services building and is only available during Guest Services opening hours.
