Frequently Asked Questions

Does Mt Baw Baw have a Snow Guarantee?

Yes. Mt Baw Baw offers a Snow Guarantee on our toboggan park and beginner lesson areas in the Bowl and on Hut Run for set dates during the season.

See more about our Snow Guarantee and Terms and Conditions.

Do I need a Snowsports pass if I am not using the lifts?

Yes, without a valid Snowsports pass, skiing and snowboarding are not permitted.

Purchasing a Snowsports Pass is required for access to the ski field.

The cost of a lift pass supports essential resort operations, including snowmaking, snow maintenance, lift operations (including the magic carpet), and the staffing required to keep the ski area safe and functional. This is standard across all Alpine Resorts, regardless of how much time you spend on the lifts.

We only have surface lifts (ground tows) at Mt Baw Baw — not chairlifts for sightseeing. You must be on skis or a snowboard to use our lifts. Sightseeing lifts are not available.
