Bogon Moth Season: Protecting Endangered Species

The Bogon moth is a vital food source for several endangered species, including the critically endangered Mountain Pygmy Possum, lizards, antechinus, and spiders that inhabit the alpine region. Mount Baw Baw is a beautiful destination to visit but it’s also home to these unique creatures. We do our best to keep them out of our accommodation, but please be aware that they are part of the local ecosystem, and visits from these insects are a natural occurrence. We appreciate your understanding as we coexist with these endangered species.
