John Gardiner Ski Club

Nestled amongst the Snowgums, John Gardiner Lodge is centrally located in the Mt Baw Baw Village. The Lodge is located near car parking, restaurants and the ski slopes. In the Green season, you can park outside the Lodge. In the White Season you can unload your luggage in the “Top Carpark” and walk less than 100m to John Gardiner Lodge.

John Gardiner Lodge is a recently renovated, 6 bedroom / 6 private bathroom ‘family orientated’ lodge, which sleeps 24 people. All bedrooms are lockable, and there is a security system in place for guests to access the building. There is heating throughout the Lodge including all common areas, all bedrooms and all bathrooms.

The Lodge is styled with both contemporary & alpine characteristics including a log fire, so you can sit by the fire, and watch either the snowflakes fall gently, or view the stunning sunsets. The Lodge has full length windows, offering landscape views. Mt Baw Baw Alpine Resort is a ‘photographers dream location’.

The Lodge has a large modern kitchen, with full range of appliances, crockery, cutlery and cookware. It has seating in the Dining area for 24 people. There are two Lounges, one with the fire and one with a wall mounted/smart/widescreen TV). The Lodge is connected to the Internet. Our efficient, effective and large Drying Room has a Laundry and Powder Room attached.

In the white Season, there will be Lodge Leader on site, to help you with enquiries and information. While we ask you to clean the areas you have used, the Lodge does have contract cleaners who attend the property on designated dates.

You can be outside the Lodge, participating in a range of activities, or inside the lodge, enjoying ‘timeout’, and/or spending quality time with family and friends. There is nothing quite like waking up in the morning in a warm bed, and looking out the window to an alpine wonderland.

We welcome all people to Mt Baw Baw and to John Gardiner Lodge and we encourage you to engage and immerse yourselves into a magnificent natural environment.

Linen: Beds are supplied with mattress protectors, doonas, and pillows with clean doona covers and pillow cases. You will need to bring your own linen and towels. Alternatively you can hire from Guest Services.

Please note guests are required to remove doona and pillow covers and vacuum their bedroom/s on departure.

* In winter there is a two night minimum stay on weekends (Friday and Saturday nights must be booked together), Sunday through to and including Thursday is a one night minimum stay.

Winter bookings open early March and summer bookings open after the end of the winter season.

COVID-19 Cancellation Policy: John Gardiner Ski Club lodge will refund any reservation/s that are cancelled relating to valid and specific, Victorian and Interstate COVID restrictions, which correlate with dates of stay. For standard cancellation policy please refer here.
